School of TVET and JOOUST hiring directors and lecturers

Kenyatta University (KU), Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) and the Gigiri-based Kenya School of TVET have started the process of hiring senior officers, including directors and lecturers.

JOOUST is seeking to pick senior lecturer, lecturer, medical officer, clinical instructor, deputy chief security officer, legal officer, and senior legal assistant. Applicants have up to April 29.

The roles were advertised on April 7 in MyGov, a government publication that carries job notices, tender openings, and publishes stories on the footprints of the State.

Among the advertised vacancies in KU are senior technician for quality assurance and technicians to work in microbiology, food and safety, and refrigeration units. It is also looking for a machine operator, endowment officer, and a development officer.

Details of what is required for the openings closing on April 14 are available on the university website, www.ku.ac.ke.

KU requires applicants to include a curriculum vitae, application letter, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, national identity card or valid passport, testimonials, and contact details.

Professional affiliation will be an added advantage for administrative roles, the university said in the vacancy advertisement.

Meanwhile, the Kenya School of TVET, formerly Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC), is searching for various directors, including the one to lead its Moiben campus; the academic and student affairs; admissions, assessment and certification; research, innovation and extension services; and, the corporate services boss.

The institute will accept the applications, made through its website, www.kstvet.ac.ke, up to April 28 by close of business.
