Prof Peter Keiyoro has been appointed the Tharaka University Council chairperson.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba gazetted the appointment on November 21.
Prof Keiyoro will serve a three-year term. He is currently the Principal Instructional Designer for Courseware Development and Production at the Open, Distance and E-Learning (ODeL) Campus of the University of Nairobi.
He has coordinated open and distance learning programmes in science-related fields at the university since 1986. He also develops instructional materials for blended and online academic programmes.
Prof Keiyoro holds a PhD in Distance Education from the University of Nairobi’s School of Continuing and Distance Education. He also has a Master of Science degree in Zoology, specialising in Environmental Conservation, from the same institution.
